Personnel:
Ben Havemann – Founder and Consultant 
Ben has over 20 years experience across the semiconductor, patent prosecution, and patent licensing sectors. At IP Leverage Services Ben helps a range of clients meet their intellectual property management and monetization goals.
Prior to founding IP Leverage Services, Ben served in multiple roles at Intellectual Ventures, a leading patent licensing company. At Intellectual Ventures Ben assisted with patent portfolio mining and rating, claim chart development, market research, building financial models to support patent portfolio acquisition decisions, and generating marketing collateral for external investors. He also provided project management expertise to coordinate the activities of the internal Engineering team and managed a network of external technical consultants.
Ben’s previous experience also includes preparing patent applications as a Technical Consultant covering the areas of computer systems, software, and consumer electronics at two different intellectual property law firms in Austin. Ben also worked in Engineering and Management positions at Applied Materials, a leading semiconductor capital equipment supplier.
Ben holds BSEE, MSEE, and MBA degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. During his studies he also completed several internships with a variety of tech sector companies, including Texas Instruments, Motorola, Novellus Systems, and Phase Dynamics.
